Home early today.

This afternoon I've been at Derriford Hospital for an EMG Nerve Conduction Studies appointment - part of the "routine" treatment/testing following my paralysis on March Sunday 7th 1999. That morning changed my life and even today I'm still haunted by what happened and the resulting tribulations for which both me and my family have had to endure. A major relapse toward the end of December 2001 robbed me for six months of my life.

Anywho, my tests all came through good and I didn't have to endure the full luxury deluxe version of the tests that leave me feeling beaten. I may not need to have these tests again now, which has cheered me up no end :D. In fact, the most enduring part of today’s check-up was finding a place to park at the hospital - which took almost fifty minutes! They should surely invest in building a multi-storey car park on the hospital grounds because while there is LOADS of parking - it's sprawled out all over the place and simply isn't meeting the requirements of the largest hospital in this region. One of the parking attendants I called over for help said he'd had people complaining of having been driving around for an hour and a half today. I had phoned the Neurophysiology department to let them know what was happening - which they were cool with. So much for thinking I'd be too early. Crazy...

Saw some pretty nurses though, so it can't be all bad ;)
