What a week! After being off with flu and being a lazy arse due to feeling up to nothing but sitting or laying down and sleeping twelve hours a day, getting thrown back into the old routine was a shock to the system. Especially how I've seen far too many drawings I'd probably have been asked to do, had been drawn by hand instead of on the computer. Obviously for some, computers cease to exist when I'm not there to do the work for them.

After three and a half years I've now finally got a radiator in my offce - oil based, which works a real charm ((shame Winter is drawing to a close now)). I've set it up to come on a few hours before I start work so my room is nice and warm and intermidently during the day just to keep it comfortable. In the past I've had fan heaters that drove me nuts for all the noise they made; and more recently a convection heater that did nothing but heat the ceiling as the heat rose and made it's way out the door. My office has, unlike the rest of the building, no fixed heating and two drafty old georgian sliding sash windows with a single pane of super thin class. The sun never reaches the windows. In Winter it's bitterly cold and in Summer it can become supprisingly hot. I had to buy my own fan. I guess if anything, I should be glad I do have my own office, unlike some of my friends who are crammed into small rooms with ten other draftsmen sat at computers.

This morning I put my car through the local car wash, en route to the office; and this evening I overtook a train of cars following a learner driver crawling over the moors at 20mph, wandering why they hadn't already done so. I wanted to get home after a crappy day, doing a couple of days work in a few hours to meet promises that had been made on my behalf. Then what's new?
*shrugs*
Weekend is upon us so I can breathe easy for a couple of days :).
