I'm at home right now, working you'll be pleased to know. Just taking a few while this scene, a slightly updated version of a shot I first set up over three years ago, renders out with radiosity calculations. Only four passes to go and then I'm busting my ass over to the office to get an A2 print. So until then, its blogger time :).
Been watching Torque for the last hour or so - about twenty minutes to go. It's a really good film and even better if you like bikes. I'd question the ability of a motorbike to do the things I'm seeing here, however, there's no question of the beauty of Ford's girlfriend...hmmmm nice. I've no idea what her name is - I only know the main guy is called Ford - I've been working ;)
Actually, this morning I was in the office for about ten seconds. My colleague promised the client I'm doing these images for ((six in total)) that a samples book would be posted through his door today, so while that may not happen - it's at least not my fault for having them here at home. A 32 mile round trip for a large folder piece of card with tiny squares of fabric glued to it? Crazier stuff has happened. The images are for the Efford Community Fellowship, for whom our office has designed their future Chruch. My understanding is that these images are an aid towards raising capital for the project. Its one thing writing to a contact and saying "I want to build a Church, would you like to donate to it?" and totally another being able to add "...oh and by the way, this is what it'll look like, inside and out."
Two of the six images are the internal and external views of the building. The other four are alternative colour schemes for the internal finishes - chair, wall, carpet colours, fabrics etc. Today my priority is the exterior, tomorrow the internal views. With it being so questionable as to whether I'll be gaining anything from this exercise, I've been waiting for weeks for the 'go' to get on and do these. Yesterday I was asked to say when the client could pick up the finished images. I said Thursday morning. They could have had those months ago but between the clients, my colleague and a reluctance to do too much work I may never be paid for - it's been a long drawn out process.
I'll post this external shot later tonight. One and a half passes to go, or thereabouts, then I'm off.
