Matthew the Shepard

I've now enabled titles, for whenever I want to use one, like right now for instance. Exciting stuff, for sure...

Yeah, so I've just come back to the office from lunch and a you-wish-had-a-camcorder moment. Whenever it's not pouring with rain, I go off to eat my lunch on the Moors. I'll find a random spot to park, gobble down my sandwiches, put some trainers on and go walking for half an hour.

Today is gloriously sunny, albeit rather cold in the wind and clouds in the distance threatening rain. I set off as usual, though today I caught the attention of some sheep. Well, a small flock of about fifty to be more precise. All staring at me...then bleating at me...then trotting along behind me for about ten minutes in what would have looked, if anyone else had been around, somewhat bizarre.

I found it funny, though it reminded me of the horrors of my childhood. When I was really young, my parents took my sister Naomi and me to one of these farms that are designed to be a day out for the family, where you can learn all about farming, the machines, the animals etc. We were each given a bag of feed. Whilst feeding some lambs, one of them snatched the whole bag from my grasp. To make matters worse, another lamb came up and bit me right on the nipple. Left one I think. Traumatic stuff when you're a tiny person and a lamb seems to be a fairly large creature. It's one of those little things I keep joking I'll be telling someone with a clipboard whilst laying out on a leather couch in the distant future.

So take heed and beware of the fluffy ikkle lambs the next time you're on a farm or walking on Moorland - they just may ambush you. Oh but what do you care? You're far too excited about me enabling titles for my blog posts...
