Time to talk about that camera I bought on eBay. First off, here are a couple of shots I just took of it...

...and herein lies my problem. That ain't no digital camera. Sure, it has digital functions on it - if you like, it's a digital film camera - and it certainly looks great, plus it's very small. Two years ago, this would have set you back £200. They're still selling for more than the £26 I paid so, I'm not too upset about it. Only thing is, it shares the exact same name as it's digital counterpart. The Cannon Ixus II is also one of the best compact digital cameras, which retails anywhere from £180 up to £280 right now, depending on where you buy it from. At a glance, they look very much the same.
So you might appreciate my initial shock when I opened up the parcel the other day, only to find I had bought an APS camera, not the Digital camera I'd been looking forward to. No matter, next week I'm going to pop into a couple of reputable camera stores in Plymouth that deal with second-hand cameras, as well as new, to see what they might offer me for it. Might make a little profit and there's always eBay of course. In the end, it's not like I don't have a digital camera ((just in case you were wondering what I took the images above with)) and I've not spent a fortune. My other purchases have been very successful - the system works - just going to be that little bit extra careful in future.
