Favours sometimes pay...sometimes...
I'm always doing folks favours - it's in my nature. In recent years though, I've wised up a lot to how people can take advantage of me for it, be it intentionally or through habbit. I'm comfortable saying no to anyone who isn't a member of my family or close friend. One just has to be polite about it.
Well, yesterday I was asked to create a simple logo for a chap who's created a website from which he acts as a reseller for a large hosting company. So I did...
...and in return he set me up a package, with domain, for free! It's likely I'll use this extra space to host music files for the music section of matthewcornish.org and likewise, the hi-resolution images for the art section ((which I'm aware I've neglected)). While I prefer iPower as a host ((and I'll be moving matthewcornish.org to them one day)), number1host.net provides a good range of services at a fair price. It'll be interesting to see how good it all is once I'm fully set up...not that you can complain about something you've not had to pay for ;).
