Great start to a bad day
This morning was great. I couldn't stand around waiting for my package to arrive so after waking myself up properly, I rallied my sister into taking Meg out on the moors with me. She needs the exercise and I sometimes have difficulty in getting her to come along with me when she's down here. We headed off and where out for about two hours. I love walking. For some reason Meg decided to eat some poo...God only knows what drove her to it - I shouted at her to 'leave' and she did I think she only got a little bit. I've never known her to do anything like that before.
I wish there were more women in the world like Meg. Not in the poop eating sense mind you! Lord no, I'm thinking more of the companionship and unconditional love. Women I have gotten involved with, in the end, seem hell bent on screwing me over. I'm not about to thrown myself into the preisthood over it, however, it makes me uneasy about getting close to women on an emotional level. It's the feeling that around the corner, all hell is about to break loose. I've had a woman take her fists to my face and then tell me she was scared because I might loose my temper with her. Go figure. Any women out there that won't beat me up for being the good guy that cares, get in touch.
Well anyway, after our walk, we ate and I opened up the package that had arrived for me whilst out. I love new things. I think I mentioned the other day that I've not upgraded my graphics card in just over three years so I was really looking forward to this. I popped my new hardware into the computer and did a clean install of WindowsXP. Then the trouble started. As soon as I installed drivers for the new graphics card, the machine began cutting out. Remove the drivers and everthing is fine. I played around with different driver sets and had no joy. Seriously annoyed right now. Tomorrow I'll be getting in touch with technical support because I've tried all sorts now. I'm not having my brand new all singing all dancing card sat in my computer being used as a "standard VGA controller"...
Why can't these things work straight off? Why in the last few years, have I had every single new piece of hardware go wrong at one point or another? Sure, if this gets working then everything will be fine and I'll soon forget these woes, however, for now I'm digging a hole in the wall with my forehead. '8[
