The last straw
After being instructed to ignore the building regulations by the local RIBA chairman, who happens to be one of the two partners of my office, I finally lost all confidence in Architecture. My enthusiasm of late has been rock bottom - I don't care anymore. When a design doesn't work, it doesn't work. Scrap the idea and get over it. Telling people to simply overlook the building regulations because you think they don't matter in the early stages of development, is a big no no. But hey, if you go through seven years earning a degree in Architecture to design and work like he does, well I guess Architecture can do without me.
