Quick round-up of events...

Online at work right now so thought I'd quickly mention a few things that have happened since my last post...because let's face it, you're dying to know, right?

Wednesday was just one of those average days were nothing much happened outside the norm, save ringing up the clinic for an appointment. It's been a while. So yesterday morning I went in to have my spine looked at and to have it hinted that I shouldn't have neglected my treatment for so long. I know that already, seeing my back has been killing me recently - especially when driving. I need to go in a couple more times next week to finish off the job, as it where. Hadn't realised how much I missed the friendly staff there, some of whom I've known for years, even if I'm sometimes sceptical their friendliness is just part of the job.

Not long after lunch yesterday, my office computer committed suicide. The CPU somehow overheated and died and because of the difficulties I'd have in replacing such an old processor, I this morning had to purchase a new processor, motherboard and memory. That'll arrive Monday and at last I'll have a decent, fast computer to work on in the office.

Arriving home last night, I fuelled up the car and decided to wash it. I've got to take a proper look at my windscreen washers during the weekend. They've not worked for two weeks now. The rear ones work fine but the front isn't spraying water...just the odd drop or two. I think the heads are blocked.

So this morning, other than having just purchased this stuff for my computer here at the office, I went to collect a sheet of glass 1220x605 for the communion table at Tavistock URC. The shop is just around the corner from my office.

Cannot wait for today to be over with. Last week I drew up a dormer bungalow and was told by the partner "...this is just what I was looking for..." until a meeting yesterday with the client, during which the client said it wasn't what he wanted, to which the partner says "...yeah, that's what I was thinking - it's not right...". Needless to say I'm really enjoying *cough* having to redesign these again. This client is getting tiresome, having made countless applications for development on a site in Satlash, Cornwall. He got his first application approved, however, became greedy and has since tried time and time again to get approval on a scheme that'll bring greater returns. Alas, all these attempts are refused...he appeals...they're refused again...he makes a new application and so on. Only good thing is the money he's paying the office to go through with it all. The bad thing is, of course...it's me who has to draw the bloody things each time ((and I'm redrawing each application countless times to make them, in his eyes, just right)).
