Lunch

I'm sat at my workstation munching on chicken rolls. Normally I'd be out on Dartmoor by now, however, as my car is in the hands of Rover I'm stuck here. My car is celebrating it's 3rd Birthday with it's first MOT and a three year 60,000 mile service. Just happens that both apply in this case as I'm not far off 60k on the clock. Hopefully the call to say it's ready to pick up will come soon. Usually I have to phone Rover up before they close to chase them on progress...because if I can't take my car away then I have to catch the bus back to Tavistock. Perhaps they'll surprise me and phone mid-afternoon or something. Then again, they could ring now with one of those "because this part is going to cost so much we wanted to check you were happy for us to go ahead" type calls. Yes, the car has been running well...which for this car feels like a luring trap to put one at ease before being told that '...if the engine had been running a second longer when you parked it this morning, it would have blown up.'

So other than worrying about being lumbered with a large bill, or not getting my car back today, I'll be working on my thesis. I want to get the bulk of this first preliminary stage over with today and this afternoon has been put aside for it. I may submit a couple of the panoramic photographs I took to my deviantART account. I may also try to get a 3D representation of the site our thesis is based on, modelled up in LightWave this evening. We need to impress the client and at this stage it seems to be down to me to come up with the goods. The presentation of our ideas to the client is Thursday week, but I'm really trying to be in a position to do so sooner and thus prevent a last minute panic. We shall see...
