This morning, already worked up by my concerns over finishing the Vauxhall Street drawings before lunch, was confounded by a sudden desire to have me jumping out of my seat every five minutes. Oh yes, I'd make an excellent Jack-in-the-box should such employment become available. Anywho, would seem that my efforts in writing a step-by-step guide for one of the partners to follow in backing up his data has, in tiny text only he can read, the words "call Matthew to help you" scribed between each sentence. Therefore, I had to cut corners in my work and prioritise certain parts of the drawing set so as to have something worth my employer presenting when the time came. Leaving him the drawings, I went off for lunch and prayed he would return happy.
And happy he was! Thank goodness. The client loved the drawings and I was charged with preparing them for submission to the city's planning department tomorrow. Still a fair amount of work to be done but no biggie, they're open until 1700 so 1600 is a good deadline to work on.
