Courtesy

This morning I took my Rover25 around to the local garage for the repair works to be carried out. It is estimated that it'll take a couple of days to complete, though I'm not overly worried about it as I'm being provided with a courtesy car. What I've received is a 2004 Volkswagen Polo, three door hatchback - silver in colour. My thinking is that manufacturers such as BMW, Mercedes, Aston Martin and Jaguar should offer their vehicles for use as courtesy cars. Not only would it give people a great car to drive while theirs is being repaired; surely it would serve as a very compelling advert and make people want to buy such cars even more than they do already. That, or folks will find themselves actually wanting their cars banged up in a garage to be repaired a lot more often.

Sadly all this resides in the realms of fantasy. I can't complain because any car is better than taking the bus and I could have been given an old Fiat Uno or some boxy Japanese import. My only qualms are with the engine, it's small & sluggish...and the indicators are so so quiet you'd almost think you're not using them. Otherwise, it got me into work just fine.

My car is gonna feel so big and powerful by the time I get it back :D heehee
