Valentines Day

So today was the day of the year I hide away, safe from an event driven by commercialisation into a materialistic boost for the economy where making money comes second to matters of the heart, fondly known as Valentines Day.

Sure, it's fine when one is in a relationship with that special someone but when one looks around and see there's nobody there it makes one sad. Well that is, it makes me sad. Happy Valentines Day by my friend Yelena on deviantART sums up my feelings quite well.

There is, however, one good thing about today and a reason for me to be happy. My parents got married on Valentines day and celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary today. So it's not all bad...
