Holiday :)
Thankfully it's the weekend once again. Ahhh. I get to be lazy and recover from another busy week in the office. As an added extra, I've got Monday through Wednesday inclusive off work, which is even better. Hopefully I'll not be spending all that time sat here - which is all to easy a trap to fall into...
I'm going to use part of my time to get some college work out of the way; assignments and the like. My thesis is still at a standstill as we're yet to present the planning/building control officers of Plymouth City Council with our applications. Originally, this had been lined up for the week after Christmas but it's now May and the course ends in eight weeks. Bit of a joke if you ask me. Suppose I should start thinking about our final presentation, to which all our employers are invited.
*gulp*
The elections seemed to go smoothly. The Labour Party has retained it's position for a historical third term in power, albeit with a smaller majority than it had in the landslide victory of 1997 against the Conservatives. Both the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats have made gains. I don't think anyone is really surprised by the outcome. Blair has said he'll hand leadership of Labour over to someone else before the next election; and Howard is graciously jumping from his party before he's pushed for yet another defeat.
I think the Conservatives have now had four leaders since loosing power in 1997 under the leadership of Major. Hague, Ian Smith, Duncan Smith, and Howard. Some would argue the Smith brothers where actually the same guy but I'm not so sure. Maybe they're right? Maybe he was schizophrenic or something. Just that one moment he was shouting and the next he's whispering for us not to underestimate the power of a silent man...like...serial killer psychopaths do that in the movies, don't they?
Oh and I'm still giggling over a couple of the sketches in the Dead Ringers election special. Heehee...
To close, a quick mention that on the front page of my site you'll now see the last five submissions I have made to my deviantART gallery. This is a live feed so should update itself each time I upload a new photograph.
