Memory sticks, Cars and Photography
Since loosing my 1GB I-Stick and the subsequently receiving the data from it anonymously on a DVD in the post, the obvious matter on my mind has been buying a replacement. In fact, last week I did just that and it arrived on Tuesday. I've normally had no trouble buying new/unused items from eBay so I'm not taking this too badly but I wasn't sent what I ordered. It was the next model up, same specification, a SanDisk 2GB Mini-Cruzer. I had ordered the Micro-Cruzer. No biggie. Oh, but what I had been sent didn't work. Each machine I plugged it into would lock up until I removed it again so I sent it back on Wednesday. I'm waiting for my money to be refunded before buying another one someplace else. Last night I dreamt the seller wrote back saying they wouldn't refund me until I sent them back the free pair of socks sent with my order. What??? Honestly, I've not touched a drop of alcohol since last November so maybe it's something I ate...
The car. Yeah, I love talking about my wonderful car. This time the ventilation & air-conditioning system has decided not to function at it's lowest speed. You know how most cars have 0, 1, 2, 3 & 4 as speed settings for the air? Doesn't work on 1. I wouldn't mind leaving it on 2 if it weren't for how noisy Rover air-conditioning units seem to be. Or at least, in my car, turning this on makes the car more noisy. I'm no expert but this doesn't happen in most cars. I'm still battling with the way it gobbles up oil and the coolant has to be topped up once every few days. That car makes me feel very depressed sometimes. How I wish I'd stuck with Ford...
My photography isn't going too badly. I went through a rough patch after using the SLR camera my work colleague leant me through the realisation of the pitfalls of using a compact digital camera - as opposed a proper SLR, or dSLR camera. Well having spent some time getting back into the swing of things, I've begun to get back the results I'm happy with on the Nikon. As always you can check out my photography at deviantART.
