Car Update
:) Garage is open; they're waiting for a transistor to arrive which will fix the switch board controlling the ventilation/air conditioning speed. I can't have the car until that's in because typically they've had to remove the whole dashboard to get access to it. Obviously they had expected it to arrive yesterday, just a shame they hadn’t rung me to say.
One thing that shocked me was when the garage called up the other day to tell me how much a new button for the air conditioning unit would cost. The little light in this button had ceased to work and I naively thought one could get a new LED for it... something that would cost a few pence at most. Unfortunately, Rover told the garage this isn't possible, so a whole new switch unit has to be purchased. The cost? £30!!! I didn't have to think twice about whether to get that fixed in the end. A little LED not lighting up is the least of my worries.
*update*
10AM: I've got my car back now and it'll go into the garage Monday 25th so until then I'll have to keep a close eye on the coolant!
