Site updates

Minor updates made to the code last night to fix a bug which meant elements not displaying correctly in Firefox. The most obvious error being the sides of tables being drawn a few pixels either side of the table and not on it. This comes from having designed the site to suit Internet Explorer and being careless as to how Firefox parses CSS.

Anyway, I'll soon be moving the site to a new host and I'll overhaul the code to make the site fully CSS compliant and hopefully W3C compliant too. I want to strip out some content for now - things like the 'nerd' and 'music' sections of the site. I'll reintroduce the 'music' section with the ability to stream my music in the near future. The art section will be overhauled and powered by Gallery2 once I've skinned it to match the design of the site. I quite like this simple looking design so I don't intend to do too much by way of altering anything but the code optimisation will help with the fact I'm moving from a server with unlimited bandwidth to one with 500GB a month - as if I'll ever use that much!

I've got a lot of files I'm hosting for other people which are being hot linked by other websites. While I don't mind that at all, this will stop once I've moved to the new server as my intentions are to reorganise the file structure somewhat. Don't worry though, if you wish to continue seeing your files hosted by myself because you're unable to do so yourself, send me an email and I'll be sure to retain your files and update you on their location.

This'll all happen over the next month or so. I guess seeing as I'll be doing a degree in all this stuff very soon, I should have a website that reflects my abilities and the only reason I've not got W3C compliancy yet is due to laziness on my part.
