I'm back online! The last two entries were written off-line and so have only just appeared this morning. Using Skype I've spoken with my parents and when I tested out a download just now it came in at 1.7 mega-bytes a second which is something I'll have no trouble getting accustomed too. Over seven times faster than what we have at home...

Slept much better last night. Between 2300 and 0100 it sounded like a riot was going on around the campus but the noise faded and thankfully I slept uninterrupted until I woke up this morning.
