New Timetable

I've got to wait over a week to do anything! gasp

The second semester doesn't start until 30th January and my first lecture isn't until the afternoon of Tuesday 31st. A few days ago our timetable was released and considering this is a full time course, I'm more than a little miffed that we're in lectures for a meagre one and a half days a week! damn

Of course for some of my friends this is the best news since sliced bread. That's fine if you live locally and get to spend your FIVE DAYS of free time lounging around in the family home. Those of us new to the area, living in halls, don't have that comfort zone. People don't seem to realise how much I miss the fact that in five years of full time employment I had a never ending list of work to do.

I've had offers of freelance work which I'm considering taking up. It's only web-design but it'll fill up some of this time and earn me a few pennies. Otherwise I'm waiting for people who have said they'd like to go out and do things with me to follow up promises with action... something I tend to find lacking, which is nothing new. not impressed
