Multimedia Technology

Well following from last week's mess, we now have a lecturer for Multimedia Technology - even if he only did find out two hours before the lecture started. The module content looks interesting, focusing on any digital technologies that have an aspect of multimedia in them to display information. This also includes putting media out onto the web. This first lecture focused on basic HTML - which is something we're doing in Webpage Authoring so I couldn't see the point. To makes matters worse, especially for those in the class who haven't written in HTML before and know nothing about standards compliency, the code we were being taught was just bad... and conflicted with what's already being taught.

Early days yet, though from what's been said by second years, there's a chance it might not get much better. Something else to simply wait and see.
